TTW’s comprehensive contribution to Sydney’s built environment was further celebrated in the announcement of Wynyard Walk as winner of the prestigious Bradfield Award and Sydney – Australian Engineering Excellence Award.
In judging these awards, the panel recognises accomplishments of exceptional engineering merit, which make a major contribution to the community. TTW is proud to receive these awards along with Pells Sullivan Meynink (PSM) and CPB Contractors. Wynyard Walk is a major piece of transport infrastructure for Sydney and owes its success to the incredible work of a large collaborative team that also includes Transport for NSW and Woods Bagot.
The Bradfield Award is named for J.J.C. Bradfield, the early engineering and visionary planning pioneer who led many significant projects such as Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Metropolitan Railway construction. Among the numerous complexities and challenges for Wynyard Walk, were those surrounding heritage-listed Railway House. It is therefore perhaps both ironic and fitting that this building was actually designed by Bradfield in the 1930s. Congratulations to all the team on this latest recognition!
