At TTW our core values are focused on community, integrity, communication, sustainability, innovation and teamwork. We are proud to partner with Engineering Aid Australia, a not for profit organisation that inspires and supports Indigenous high school students to become engineers. Over the past week of January, EAA held many events to come together, talk about engineering, acknowledge all the bright young students and celebrate the success of this program.
Networking Function / Careers Fair.
This careers fair-style event gave our senior engineers an opportunity to meet young students and answer interesting questions one-on-one about engineering and great career pathways.
Vice Regal Reception at Admiralty House in Sydney.
A moving speech was given by young aspiring engineer, Giwangallani Mendez Williams, at Admiralty House.
“Aboriginal people were the first engineers of this land. We are innovators, radical thinkers, survivors and problem solvers. As an Indigenous person, I feel that it is my duty, our duty, to look after this land, this planet. This experience has inspired, motivated and strengthened my confidence to continue on in my journey in pursuing a university degree so that one day I can be not only an industry leader but also a leader in my community.” Giwangallani Mendez Williams.
