Our traffic team do not just undertake ‘number crunching’ to provide data. We investigate options which often involve doing design to ensure the most optimum and practical outcomes.
Paul Yannoulatos, Technical Director – Traffic

Our traffic engineers have an excellent track record in providing engineering studies and investigations for hospitals, educational facilities, public institutions, shopping centres, residential developments, town centres, transport hubs, and industrial sites.

Having 20+ years of established partnerships with public and private institutions, they deliver an integrated suite of traffic and transport engineering services; audits, planning and management, modelling, transport infrastructure and transport economics.

Our Expertise

Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA)

We guide you through the process of preparing a TIA that provides the approval authority with all the information and analysis to favourably consider the project. Projects range from individual residential housing at Local Council level, through to State Significant Development Applications for hospitals and schools. During the design process, we can also assist in the development of car parks, loading docks, and access points to improve and optimise the design.

Intersection Modelling

Employing the latest technology to optimise intersection performance. We know inefficient and badly-planned intersection configurations frustrate both authorities and roads users.  Our engineers utilise SIDRA (intersection software) to model and address the issues.

Road Safety Audits

TTW’s traffic team understands that poor design can impact safety. Our road safety audits can identify issues related to sight distance, road geometry, lighting, and pedestrian-vehicular conflict.

Pedestrian Studies

We collect data and analyse pedestrian desire lines to deliver expert assessments.

Considering factors such as sight lines and parking restrictions, we advise the most appropriate location and pedestrian facility for each situation – such as kerb blisters, zebra crossings, pedestrian signals, wombat crossings or pedestrian refuges.

Construction Traffic Management Plans

Developing plans to manage traffic and mitigate disruption during onsite works, our expert engineers work closely with clients to deliver CTMP that aim to minimise risk, delays and inconvenience.
