Created out of 1880 Victorian Terraces, the new 20-room retreat provides high end, boutique hotel experience.
The transformation of three Heritage-listed properties comprised a structural refurbishment, a new three-storey rear addition tying the existing timber structure to the modern concrete extension, and an internal steel covered courtyard.
One of the structural design challenges was the staging and stability of the existing masonry walls. This was a design aspect that required extensive considerations as it was critical in programming, and how the structural elements needed to be installed.
