Flood assessment for new Gippsland Art Gallery, library and community hub
TTW assessed the impact of flooding on a significant development proposal which would see the Port of Sale Civic Centre converted into a contemporary Gippsland Art Gallery, library and community hub for Victoria’s south east region. We provided ideas on freeboard and potential mitigation options, taking into account the sites location within a flood overlay.
TTW services extended to include:
- Review of historical flood studies and flood management plans
- Assessment of topography and extent of flood overlay contouring for various flood events up to 100 years ARI
- Freeboard advice for new development
- Flood extent mapping using 3D software
- Flood impact reporting
