This new development merges old and new in an impressive multi-use space that is intended to become a community hub for this historic city.

Delivering an updated take on the "town square" for central Hobart, this project utilises innovation and creativity to merge heritage elements with modern architecture. The staged redevelopment celebrates Hobart's character and provides a new office building, specialty food and beverage outlets, a boutique hotel, and open public space.

Located in an assortment of heritage buildings, the Parliament Square redevelopment includes a new $50million luxury hotel, The Tasman, to be operated under Marriott's five-star The Luxury Collection brand.

TTW works included:

  • Strengthening of the existing structure - floors and walls
  • New additions - concrete structure + stair to the existing building
  • Redbrick Building - new concrete structure in and around existing RBB walls

Situated in the Salamanca precinct neighbouring Parliament House, this new development merges old and new in an impressive multi-use space that is intended to become a community hub for this historic city.
