A major upgrade of 15 existing learning spaces and a new multipurpose hall.

This Design and Construct project delivers a major upgrade to Ku-ring-gai High School to meet the growing school needs. The works include the construction a new multipurpose hall, visual arts learning space, pa new flexible visual arts and performance arts space, three new covered outdoor learning areas, and upgrades to 15 existing classrooms.

The main works included a new steel-framed multipurpose hall and indoor sports centre. The large open spaces required close coordination of proposed structural framing with proposed architectural fitout to provide the best outcome.

Other works included the refurbishment to existing learning spaces which included structural modifications. Where possible, existing structural drawings were obtained to assist in developing structural framing to suit the architectural concepts. Site inspections were also carried out to confirm existing structural assumptions, prior to fabrication of steelwork.
