The US$60.1M mosque is estimated to have a capacity of 61,000 people.

The Jakarta National Mosque in the new capital city, IKN, had its official groundbreaking in January.

The circular design of the mosque symbolises national unity and religious harmony in Indonesian society. It is planned to be surrounded by an artificial reservoir to beautify its exterior and interior appearance.

Features of the mosque include a 70-meter diameter twisted dome and a 99-meter high, steel-frame system minaret.

Engaged as Structural engineers, TTW designed the floors using a fully post-tensioned flat slab system, rarely used in Indonesia, to accelerate the construction and meet the 2024 completion target.

The mosque will also be equipped with infrastructure, such as roads and bridges.
