New Holiday Inn Express in Melbourne's Southbank is one of Australia's most environmentally friendly hotel

Located in the Melbourne suburb of Southbank, the project includes ground-floor retail, separate hotel and commercial office lobbies, an integrated heritage façade, a multi-level above-ground podium car park, approximately 5,000sqm of high-grade commercial office space, and a 4.5-star hotel comprising front and back of house facilities and a 15 level accommodation tower of 345 quality rooms.

Our structural heritage experts employed creative engineering to retain the original 1930s City Road façade and its glazed terracotta faďence tiles. 35-47 City Road is one of the few remaining Melbourne buildings to feature this distinctive art deco façade treatment.

While the façade comprises glazed curtain walls and window walls, punch windows in precast elements, profiled aluminium cladding, a bespoke kinetic façade at podium level and coloured feature glazing to the Port Cochere.
