Greensborough Medical Centre expands in response to the growth of the surgery and the demand in the area

This project required a significant refurbishment and repurposing of the three storey building to accommodate a new medical centre.

Existing concrete columns were removed and replaced with steel transfer structure in numerous locations, resulting in complex engineering details and construction sequencing.

Detailed analysis was undertaken to ensure the structure would comply with current standards, including comprehensive floor vibration analysis. Structural strengthening and additional structural elements were installed in key locations such as operating theatres and the MRI machine room to ensure the centre would perform adequately.
