Major redevelopment designed to interact with urban surrounds

Part of a major new redevelopment in Sydney, Darling Square North East is a residential complex that consists of three buildings (40, 20, and 10 levels), offering over 580 apartments, swimming pool, above ground multi-level car park (464 cars), and retail space.

TTW's structural team was commissioned to provide engineering services to bring to life the architectural vision for this impressive new complex. A key consideration was the integration of the structural foundations with a heritage dam that runs across the site. The buildings consist of a slender core with coupled outriggers to provide stiffness.

In keeping with the developer's intent to complement neighbouring areas, the retail edges are designed to interact with and activate surrounding streets and laneways. A focus on sustainability also aims to deliver a high level of design integrity and adoption of ESD/Green Star initiatives that result in a minimum 4-star Green Star rating.
TTW was also commissioned to work on the Darling Square South East residential block.
