Jakarta's huge new retail mall showcases the highest Ferris Wheel in Indonesia
Targeted to be the largest entertainment mall in Indonesia, the new Aeon Mall in Jakarta Garden City has a retail floor area of 135,000 square metres and includes the highest Ferris Wheel in the country (70m above ground) - a feature that required specialised structural engineering solutions.The complex comprises 3 floors plus basement, and is constructed with reinforced concrete and precast special moment frame seismic structure. Long span bridges cross the atriums and the roof structure supports a 50m diameter Ferris Wheel.
This exciting addition for Jakarta's retail sector also provides the community with a nine-screen cinema, food court, game centre, theme park, and ice skating rink.
