An inter-tenancy staircase linking 17 levels

100 Mount street showcases an inter-tenancy staircase which internally links the 17 levels of NBN's new Headquarters. This architecturally defined floating stair supported off the existing post-tensioned band beams.

One of the key challenges of the project was the sensitivity of the base structure to the new stair penetrations and the impact this had of the stair connection details and vibration analysis.
Constrained connection geometry made the fixing details quite complicated which required detailed finite element analysis to meet the vibration requirements and create a structurally secure and rigid connection. Working closely with the design team, TTW undertook detailed vibration analysis to deliver the most efficient solution for our client.
