In this role, you will:
Structural Engineering
- Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
- Prepare client reports.
Project management and compliance
- Assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
- Check structural engineers’ work and provide technical guidance.
Who are we looking for
This role is ideally suited to someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia, CPEng/NER
- At least 5 /6 years’ experience in a similar role with timber experience is very desirable
- Software: Etabs, Spacegass, RAM, RAPT
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Site experience highly desirable – at least one building project with site attendance
- Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving/analytical skills
