In this role, you will:

Structural Engineering

  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
  • Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
  • Prepare client reports.

 

Project management and compliance

  • Assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
  • Check structural engineers’ work and provide technical guidance. 

 

Who are we looking for

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Member of Engineers Australia, CPEng/NER
  • At least 5 /6 years’ experience in a similar role with timber experience is very desirable
  • Software: Etabs, Spacegass, RAM, RAPT
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Site experience highly desirable – at least one building project with site attendance
  • Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving/analytical skills
