In this role, you will:
- Prepare and manage civil documentation packages, ensuring quality, compliance with relevant standards, and timely delivery within budget.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, the broader design team, and authorities to resolve design issues and integrate civil works with other disciplines.
- Apply a holistic understanding of civil design to meet key project objectives.
- Use your initiative and technical knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Produce high-quality designs, documentation, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare tender responses, including defining scope and pricing for medium-complexity civil projects.
- Grow your skills in staff and client management, risk mitigation, project and financial management—with a career pathway to Associate.
Who are we looking for?
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- CPEng accreditation or actively working towards it.
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, minimum 2 years in the ACT region.
- Proven expertise in designing and coordinating:
- Stormwater systems
- Roads and car parks
- Pavements and retaining walls
- Water and sewer mains
- Strong knowledge of ACT planning processes, including NCA, EPSDD, Icon Water, and TCCS standards and approvals.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with a track record of delivering on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
