We are looking for an Associate or Senior Structural Engineer to join our highly skilled team in Canberra to work on exciting landmark projects. You will be providing integral support to the Civil Manager helping to develop and lead the team.

 

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
  • Management of medium to large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
  • Contribute to the overall management and profitibility of projects
  • Liaise with engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation
  • Develop and mentor team members to guide them on best practice and sharing technical expertise within TTW
  • Manage design team of engineers and drafters including allocation of resources and checking of work for small projects (where required)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • At least 6 years’ experience in engineering
  • CPEng (or working towards)
  • Thorough understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
  • Problem solving/analytical skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to advance own career including remaining up to date with advancements in discipline related engineering methodologies
