In this role, you will:
Structural Engineering
- Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Uses knowledge and initiative to devise and implement new approaches to complex engineering problems.
- Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff.
- Liaises with drafters to enable preparation of structural documentation.
- Liaises and coordinates with builders, architects and services engineers on design issues.
- Ensures compliance with applicable Codes and policies – e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
- Any other tasks as reasonably requested by a manager or a director.
Who are we looking for:
This role is ideally suited to someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia, working towards CPEng
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role is very desirable.
- Software: Etabs, Spacegass, RAM, RAPT
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solving/analytical skills
