In this role, you will:

Structural Engineering

  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
  • Uses knowledge and initiative to devise and implement new approaches to complex engineering problems.
  • Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Liaises with drafters to enable preparation of structural documentation.
  • Liaises and coordinates with builders, architects and services engineers on design issues.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Codes and policies – e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
  • Any other tasks as reasonably requested by a manager or a director.

Who are we looking for:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Member of Engineers Australia, working towards CPEng
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role is very desirable.
  • Software: Etabs, Spacegass, RAM, RAPT
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving/analytical skills
