Our Opportunity
This is an exciting growing period for TTW and our Engineering team in Singapore have a key part to play on this journey. This role will report directly to our Group Director and will contribute to the general management of staff and the strategic direction of TTW Singapore. You will be responsible for directing professional staff and managing their performance as well as developing strong client relationships to foster the growth of TTW as a leading firm in the industry in the Asia region.
Structural Engineering leadership
- Act as Project Leader reporting directly to a director on major projects
- Applying a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Play a key role to facilitate winning work to meet TTW Singapore revenue targets and assist others with new projects.
- Preparation of client reports in accordance with deadlines
- Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
Project Management & Compliance
- Assume responsibility for management and profitability of multiple complex large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets
- Contribute to the overall management and profitability of projects
- Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies in all aspects – e.g. WHS practices, Quality Assurance
- Assist in management of work from financial, technical and contractual aspects
People Management
- Guide colleagues on best practice and share technical expertise within TTW Singapore office and abroad.
- Supervise and check the work of less senior staff including managing underperformance
- Conducting performance reviews
- Responsible for the management and training of staff including recruitment, selection and remuneration.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Successful completion of post graduate study would be highly regarded
- CPEng/NER
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Civil (Structural) Engineering design in a consulting capacity.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding teams.
- Experience in design and documentation of small and medium range projects.
- Strong technical ability and understanding of the engineering principals.
- Good understanding about the Singaporean Codes and Standards.
- Ability in using Revit/AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English in written and verbal clearly and tactfully.
- Enjoy problem solving and is a fast learner.
