Macquarie University Innovation Hub winner at the 2017 Australian Timber Design Awards
TTW is thrilled that the Macquarie University Innovation Hub was a winner at last night’s 2017 Australian Timber Design Awards ceremony in Melbourne. This exciting project picked up a total of 4 awards, including Innovative Structural Design in the Excellence in Timber Design section. In the Excellence in the Use of Timber group, the project was honoured for Engineered Timber, Timber Panels, and Timber Windows and Doors. The Macquarie University Innovation Hub is a purpose-built facility constructed entirely from timber, and its success is a credit to the collaborative teamwork of all involved in bringing this innovative centre to life – including TTW’s Structural team (Barry Young, Tim Marcot, Brooke Simmons) and Façade team (Neil McClelland, Rami Khalil); Architectus, Lipman and Strongbuild construction.
