Currently leading our Melbourne Civil and Traffic team, Jake is responsible for civil design leadership, management, development and overseeing construction phase services. These projects cover precinct developments, civil infrastructure works and civil works related to building developments.


    Having majored in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), over the past decade, Jake has continued to develop his expertise in water sensitive urban design and brings this knowledge and passion to all projects at TTW.


    Why did you get into Engineering?


    At school I was fond of art subjects; however, I gravitated toward where my true talent lied in the math and sciences. I started my tertiary studies with direction to become qualified in Mechatronics but found my passion in Civil Engineering and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD). Using creativity and fundamentals of design to provide a solution that considers the natural environment, was exactly what I was looking for.

    What is great about working at TTW?


    For me the culture of a company is important. Culture is about a company’s values, and how they mentor and reward staff. TTW encourage innovation and efficiency and that is important in developing a high achieving culture and an exciting company to work for. Also, it’s just a fun place to work.


    What excites you about the future in this industry?


    There is no shortage of interesting and exciting projects. In the civil commercial and building space, we are working closer than ever with other consultants to develop more sustainable, green, and pedestrian-friendly projects and I see this collaborative effort being more important into the future.
