Richard has been a vital part of the TTW team since relocating from the UK in 2006. His technical aptitude paired with his leadership ability has enabled Richard to become an Associate Director at TTW.
His portfolio includes many distinguished, state-of-the-art designs such as; the award winning St Barnabas Church, which demanded a new, innovative structural solution to meet the required architectural vision. Another key project is the recently completed Abbotsleigh Sports Hall which required a high degree of collaboration between architect, engineer and contractors.
Richard leads a strong technical project team at TTW and always takes a holistic approach to his work; devising structural schemes that meet architectural requirements but are cost efficient and sustainable for the built environment.

What is it about the industry that motivates you?
There is nothing quite like walking past a building that you designed, seeing it operational, functioning well and adding vibrancy and amenity to the built environment.
How do you bring innovation to your work?
At TTW, I’ve been fortunate enough to be under the mentorship of TTW Director, Richard Green who drives innovation by working on bespoke, architecturally driven designs. For me, innovation lies in being able to devise a structural scheme that meets the architectural brief yet is cost efficient, sustainable and logical, combining the use of sound engineering theory and the use of the latest analysis and drafting tools, to work in collaboration with the whole design team.
