In 1958 Dick Taylor, Jock Thomson and Alan Whitting
rented a small office in George Street Sydney and
formed the partnership Taylor Thomson Whitting.
From the beginning Messr’s Taylor, Thomson and
Whitting demonstrated an exceptional ability to enter
into the architectural mind generating a creative
synergy between engineer and architect.
Alan Whitting pushed forward the frontiers of
engineering with new applications such as
pre-stressed concrete and reinforced masonry.
All three were problem solvers, who were
practical and client orientated.

TTW are now into their third generation
of Directors and have developed into one
of Sydneys most reputable consulting
firms with offices spread over Australia
and South East Asia.
The company's philosophy of providing
innovation and ingenuity, with a client
orientated hands on approach, has
not changed.
